Cheery Cherry Blue!

Infuse With Liz
I love the vintage look and summery colors of this tablecloth!
Apples, lemons, grapes and cherries!

Infuse With Liz
I set the table using colors found in the tablecloth and I gathered some flowers from my gardens for the center arrangement.

Infuse With Liz
White lilies, Shasta daisies, Delphinium, Petunias, Coreopsis and Foxtail ferns
Infuse With Liz
My Shasta daisies start out a soft yellow and gradually become white as they age.  The only red I could find were these two small cuttings from some petunias.

I was determined to use this vase because I wanted the casual texture it offered but it's narrow neck proved to be challenging to work with.  The wood charger under the vase was from Pottery Barn a couple of years ago- I only have one and I normally it sets under a large hurricane.

The striped dishes came from One King's Lane a while ago. I decided they reminded me of the cabana striped beach huts.  The honeycomb bee dishes seemed like a good match to this floral and fruit bounty!  Just imagine them buzzing around pollinating all the fruit trees, grape vines and flowers in the summertime!  The napkins I've had in my stash a while and the flatware came from one of those big sales through Horchow.

It's hard to see but these tumblers have hummingbirds and flowers embossed on them.

  5. The tablecloth is stunning and a perfect start to your lovely tablesetting. Your garden must be beautiful -- I've focused on mostly greenery in my yard and don't have lots of flowers, so I'm a tad envious. All that rain has been good for the flowers!

  9. I'm starting to get to know your style. You have a really nice way with pattern mix and a boldness about your settings. I work in the same way - starting with a pattern and building from there, I love how you pulled the floral together to bring out the colors in the bottom layer (tablecloth) and then did your plate stack using coordinating patterns and solids. Love the striped plates especially.

  20. This is so neat, Liz! It reminds me of many luncheon tables in the gracious homes of my Grandmothers when I was a little kid. I may have been a kid, but I still appreciated pretty things like this! It always made me feel very special...like they dressed the table just for me! The setting also - for some crazy reason I can't quite put my finger on - reminds me of the movie "Dirty Dancing". Maybe it's just the era? I don't know, but that's what springs to mind!

You chose the perfect napkins to complement the tablecloth! They have that wonderful vintage look that we all know and love!!! Your dish combo is perfect, too! It really works!!!!!!!!!

This is so pretty. I'm going to make sure my Mom sees it. It will remind her of days gone by, too!
