Fences at the Lavender Farm

It seems as though I've made this whole week about lavender!
We paid a visit to a lavender farm which is located in Boyne City, Michigan

I noticed the old random barbed wire fencing that was still in place from it's past.

Random rows of fencing still outlining what once was...

 If fences could tell stories!

  2. Looks like the old barbed wire had a tangle or two with something that was trying to get through. :)

  9. I was just in Wisconsin for reunion #40 and loved seeing the red barns I grew up with. They are so stunning. Had I been thinking, I would have taken shots of them. The fence is gorgeous too.
I did take videos and photos of the cows on my cousin's farm. I thought the grandkids would love seeing those. They are truly entertaining. They started up the hill, saw us girls standing at the top by the gate and went into a dead stop! Just not sure about us!!

  15. Wouldn't there be some dandy stories if the fences could talk? Oh my....I'm guessing that even in the heat of Summer....the lavender fragrance was wonderful....

  16. Nice shots. I don't suppose lavender needs barbed wire fencing to keep it inbounds. ;) Nice scenery.

  19. We have lots of barbed wire here in Texas. I'm afraid if I had to mend my own fences it would look like the last photo!

  21. Great pictures. I love drives in the country seeing barns and fences. Mending fences is no fun, but sometimes it needs done.
